Green Day - "Know Your Enemy" Posted 4/27/09

Green Day's new video premiered on VH1 on Friday night at 8pm. They interrupted their regularly scheduled programming of Rock of Love and crappy reality shows to actually play a music video. In case you missed it, here you go.

Bonnaroo - Day 1
Posted Thurday June 11 at 6:42p

Well we're here on the bus to Bonnaroo (yeah they got flippin WiFi on this thing!) and figured I would go ahead and put up our first post. We're totally stoked about this year's Bonnaroo and glad we can bring everyone along for the ride. Last year was really memorable...My Morning Jacket in the rain on Friday night...Jack Johnson and Pearl Jam on Saturday night....waiting up until all hours of the morning to see Kanye West...hating on Kanye all day Sunday... Death Cab's sunset Sunday set....plus all the rad experiences and people we met. Hopefully this year's Roo will meet or exceed all that.

I am personally most excited to see Ben Harper with his new band The Relentless 7, The Beasties (never seen 'em live!), MGMT, Passion Pit, and Cage the Elephant. It will also be really special to see some of the more established acts like The Boss, Elvis Costello, Al Green, and Booker T. Bonnaroo has become so diverse that there really is something for everyone.

In that spirit, last night I put together a little Bonnaroo '09 mix with a mix of the old, some of the new, and some you may not even have heard yet. If you're headed to Bonnaroo, check it out and whet the appetite. If you're not going, then still download it and see what you're missing.

Depeche Mode - "Wrong"

Depeche Mode's first single off Sounds of the Universe (out April 21) has a dark and interesting video, but what would you expect? After all, it is Depeche Mode....

Asher Roth - "I Love College"

Asher Roth is a white rapper. But think less Vanilla Ice, more Eminem, only if Eminem came from the country club and not the trailer park. "I Love College" samples Weezer's "Say It Ain't So" and is bound to be a frat party anthem.

Franz Ferdinand - "Ulysses"

Always on the cutting edge of music videos, Franz Ferdinand puts out this vid for the first track off the forthcoming 'Tonight: Franz Ferdinand.' In it, Alex and the boys take a paranoid, strung-out trip through the streets of Los Angeles.

Coldplay - "Viva La Vida" (Anton Corbijn version)

Here's the second version of  “Viva La Vida” directed by Anton Corbijn, who did “Heart-Shaped Box”, "Enjoy the Silence", and many more. In it Chris Martin plays a king, walking around from with a framed copy of Delacroix’s “Liberty Leading the People” (Viva La Vida’s album cover) tucked under his arm. Martin searches for a place to hang his painting, ultimately finding solace with the rest of the band on a beach.
