'DELETE' Fly Swatter August 4, 2008

Karate Kid would have saved a lot of time with this bad ass boy toy. Chop sticks don’t work half as good as a fly swatter. And now you can ‘delete’ flys one at a time the right way while working on your spreadsheets next to the pool on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Wait, I’m in Atlanta, we have horribly hot and sweaty afternoons. Son of a… $7.99 at Perpetual Kid.

Lettuce Safe You           June 23, 2008

By now all of the crooks won’t be fooled by the soda can safe or the rock safes. The fix… the head of lettuce safe. This little sleuth will dutifully hold your small treasures in the chilly wonderland of your refrigerator well out of the sticky fingers of your maid or respective burglar. Though, it is a little pricey at $99. Find it at bimbambanana.com.

Footloose June 15th, 2008

From the simple idea category The Webble is perfect for those who can’t keep their feet still under your desk. Constantly tapping your toes or living on the balls of your feet? Slip the Webble under your desk for 360 degree movement  like skate boarding in place. Since I do this chronically I’ve had a skate board deck under my desk for about 4 years. I would say it’s a cheaper fix than this thing but they don’t have them for sale until August.  You can see a photo slide show demo at their site.

mp3 Guitar Amp     May 26, 2008

Whether  you’re a rock god or the closest you’ve come to slashing a rad axe is Guitar Hero III this little guy will at least give you some rock cred on the desk at the job.  With bass and treble knobs on the front and a standard mini-plug input you can hook up your iPod, mp3 player or computer to this bad boy.
Around $40 with the exchange.

Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Speaker May 19, 2008

As grilling becomes THE way to make dinner in the spring and summer I’m always looking for ways to get the music out on the patio where the food is. You could bring out your tiny portable mp3 player speakers but they never quite do the trick. With this Wireless Indoor/Outdoor speaker you can plug your computer into the transmitter and set this speaker up to 100 ft away on your patio and listen to 99X.COM all night an not be tethered to your desk. The water-resistant speaker, subwoofer, tweeter and acoustic bass chamber help round out the sound. The volume knob and LED accent lighting is a nice touch too. $99.95 at Solutions.com.

Bumper Dumper May 12, 2008

Can you tell that I’m in to camping this time of year? This is one of my faves.  The Bumber Dumper . The perfect response to your girlfriend when she says she can’t go camping because there are no bathrooms in the woods. Just make sure you  remember to take it off your trailer hitch before the drive home. You may get some looks on the highway. You can find it for $59.99 at bumberdumper.com. You can also get the extra bags or bucket!

Camping Shower May 5, 2008

There is nothing quite like spring in Georgia.  To bad it only lasts about a week. What comes with spring is great camping weather.  The only part about camping is that you spend multiple days in the same clothes and never bathe. A solution has been designed to free us from the camping funk.  There are many camp shower options out there but the great part about this $24.95 version found at Amazon.com is that the black color will heat in the sun all day. Fill it later in the day for cool invigoration. Up to 8 minute use with the nozzle fully open.

Inflatable Tire Jack April 20, 2008

AAA no more! Do you hate the greasy jack with the tough, sweaty pumping and grinding.  That is if you can get the rusty hunk to work. Enough with the innuendos.  This new Exhaust Air Jack is the super simple in a “why didn’t I think of that” sort of way. Plus it looks clean & easy, until you pack it up. If only they cold make it a little smaller. It’s perfect if you plan on changing a tire every week but not if your want to fit anything else in your trunk.

Kohler Karbon Faucet April 7, 2008

For April Fools day many years ago I wrapped a rubber band around the sink sprayer and it soaked is shirt when he turned the faucet on.  Yep, I was grounded from Sonic the Hedge Hog for 2 weeks.  Good old pops would have been safe with this bad boy. The Kohler Karbon faucet. Extend it to clean last week’s hot pocket grime then fold it away to save space when you’re done. Now back to Sonic.

Bottle Ash Tray                                  April 2, 2008

Class up the joint. You finally have a way to designate what bottle all of your cigarette butts end their fire-filled life with. The fringe benefit will become clear when one of your friends takes a swig of a slimy little attacker. You can sit back with your fancy bottle top ashtray, a girl on each arm and a clean mouth. The girls may start coming back. And at only $5.89 you’ll have plenty of cash leftover for more beer. PrankPlace.com.

Reef Rider March 23, 2008

I often get made fun of by my girlfriend for being able to recount every James Bond gadget. Though sea scooters have been around a while they are generally very pricey. Enter the Reef Rider.  It can dive up to 3 meters deep and has a top speed of 2.2 mph. With a full battery charge you can waste some extra time around the reef or your local swimming hole.  Just don’t forget the tux.

Turn Signal Jacket         March 16th, 2008

I’ve finally found the best way to follow your friends to the screaming front row of the next concert festival through the crowded masses. Have the guy in front wear the jacket and just follow the light. True, this would be more functional on a cyclist but much less fun.  Welcome to the turn signal jacket from Leah Beuchley via SwissMiss.

T612 iPhone Speaker Dock     March 4, 2008

In celebration of our web Guru Rob taking the leap into the lustful dream world of the iPhone I've found a solution to his latest problem. If you've made the jump you have probably noticed that you can’t use the iPhone with most of the aftermarket portable or home/office speaker docks without getting that annoying buzzing and clicking which is tough to ignore.  A new answer is the T612 speaker dock. Plus, it automatically turns the sound down when you get a call.
