LISTEN ONLY ON MACS:

Our streaming system now supports Mac’s. I know that many of you have ask for this and we’ve been working to develop, write and test a backend software application which will support this feature. Now, when you to 99X.com and click on the “Listen Only” button our backend will determine which machine type you are using and send you the proper data.

Mac users you will need to download a program called Flip4Mac which will allow you to listen to a Windows Media Stream. Most Mac users are already familiar with this. If you do not have this software on your Mac you will be prompted to install it.

99X.com can be your one stop for the latest movie trailers and show times. Recently released and Upcoming releases will be featured daily and our show time widget will take you to show times anywhere you live zip code!

VERSION 2.1 HAS BEEN RELEASED!

We have just released ver 2.1 of this site. This includes the switching out of the main video window to a Flash rotator to promote 99X events and new content AND installing the TWO BUTTONS you see in the image on the left for listening on the homepage on the top right...

One for LISTEN ONLY (for offices etc with limited bandwidth) and one for WATCH / LISTEN. Both with pop-out players like we used to have. The functionality of this site just increased ten fold and it is ALL thanks to you and your suggestions! This is a living growing thing and we'd like to thank you for helping us get over the first hump. What's next???

Need to answer a couple of questions for you guys:

1) There seems to be this misconception that HD Radio "costs" money... as in a monthly subscription according to a lot of the emails I get. This is FALSE. You DO have to buy a new radio to get it, but these HD radios are down to UNDER $99! We'll be featuring these radios and where you can get them VERY SOON!

2) We've received about one-half of the equipment we had to order to set up our studios, etc for "Visual Radio"... we are installing this equipment, loading software, etc and will be going live with the visual portion of this in a few weeks...

3) We'll be releasing ver 2.1 of this site on Monday or Tuesday (Feb 11 or 12). SITE UPDATES:

To answer the most popular thus far, "No, the above is not all of the video content we'll have on this site." We are uploading all of our Live X video content and setting the site up for YOU to upload too! We have ordered a lot of video equipment (servers, encoders, etc) that takes time (a few weeks) to get here and get up and running... in the mean time keep listening and we'll launch the live programming soon!

We are working diligently this week on the stream. And due to the literally thousands of emails we've received about it we are bringing back the pop-up player so you can LISTEN and check the site WITHOUT INTERUPTION.
